PhotiteAussie guilds are already pitching their tents
A look through the Oceanic recruitment boards before launch.
Recruitment threads are a good way to read a community's mood. The Oceanic boards on Blizzard's World of Warcraft forums are busy.
Hearthsong is a social guild on Barthilas, around since 2024. Its 3 October post says it raids on Thursday evenings, Adelaide time, and stops at Ahead of the Curve each tier. It also says the guild will go Alliance, on PvE, in WoW Forever at launch.
Centrelink describes itself as a new, Australia-based Horde guild built for WoW Forever. It caters to AEST and AEDT evenings and puts community ahead of competition. Its post says it will be on a PvP server.
On modern WoW, Çalamity's 30 September post introduces a newly formed Australian guild on Dath'Remar. It was 5/8 Heroic at the time, and it raids on Friday and Saturday evenings, AEST.
None of this is news in the headline sense. It's people with jobs and time zones working out how to keep playing together, which is most of what an MMO is.
